Nearly thirty years ago, Dr. Hines had already experienced the benefits of the power of a Mastermind Group. He understood the power of others to change his life.
In practice since 1980, he created a partnership of many doctors and many clinics. “We had many leaders, but only one goal”. In the early 1980’s, he combined the buying power of over 5,300 doctors and other health care professionals into one of the nation’s largest healthcare buying coops. The network created millions of dollars in annual sales.
He sold that coop to Chase Bank (then Chemical Bank), and joined as a partner with the Rothschild and Chemical Bank Venture Partners. This enabled the partners to add more value to the coop. They added publishing, marketing, buying power, management consulting, insurance, and computer technologies to the Mastermind Group.
In 1994, his group became aware of a new potential business concept.Wellness! The boomers wanted to invest in the latest breakthroughs in biochemistry, cellular communication, genetics, and prevention. They and their families were becoming educated regarding the value of prevention.Healthcare costs were sky rocketing. The rates of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and auto immune diseases were on the rise. The cost of medical care was scaring everyone.
Dr. Hines flew to Dallas, Texas and met with a group of scientists, physicians, and pharmacologists, who had through their R&D patented new categories of science-based technologies in a new field of nutrition. He immediately recognized the size and scope of the project.
The challenge the new company faced was how to market new cutting-edge products and technology? The answer was word-of-mouth education. Congress, in 1994, had passed legislation that would allow new companies to educate the public regarding preventive health choices and new products.
The race was on. The new company entered the direct sales industry. This became a brilliant marketing decision. This business model would keep their products affordable. Only word-of-mouth marketing could invest the time needed to share the quality and value of new products, markets, trends and R&D. The money that would have been spent on expensive advertising could now be used toward consumers and business builders for their individual efforts.
Within one year, thousands of folks just like you had rushed into the gap between what was already known and this new category of science. The Mastermind Group exploded with activity. Today, some of the fastest and most successful business leaders are part of this global team. Dr. Hines’s group now circles the world. Dr. Hines’s global partners have duplicated success at greater rates of speed. Today, we are growing faster than ever!
