Amy Zeng - Personal Values
My major is enterprise management in a television university.
Before I immigrated to Canada, I worked several years as an agent for commodities importing and exporting at a state-owned import & export company. I also ran a children shoes factory and operated a lady fashion boutique. Later, I started up my own company doing light industry export business.
I became a full-time housewife to meet the need of my family when I immigrated to Canada. It was a different lifestyle that enjoyed for several years. However, I started to feel a little bored as my two children gradually grew older because they had their own activities. I was often home alone. I often ask myself whether or not this was the lifestyle I had in mind when I immigrated? Is my personal value just only caring for my family? I began to realize that there were a time and place for everything. As the children grew older, I began to find the drive to work again. I found some part-time jobs at restaurants and supermarkets. I was open to new business opportunities. I began to live my life that reflected more of my personal values.
Since I joined happy team, it provided me the chance to personally develop myself. I have matured and gained self-confidence by working with my team. I have the best mentorship from my leaders. I am proud to share that I have transformed from a housewife into a self-confident team leader.
My career now is full-time with the Happy Team. I make more income than before and I am also passionate about the charity work that we are part of. My family loves earning the free incentive deluxe vacation each year that we get to spend time with one another.
As I look back over these past few years, the most valuable experience I learned is to follow the system and consistently try your best. You will eventually achieve your goals, dreams and personal values in life sooner or later. You can do it!
